Frequently Asked Questions About Wedding Photography

How would you identify your photographic style?

Unlike many wedding photographers that use a similar approach to each wedding, we adapt our style to each couple and their unique story. There is no set formula. We are able to shoot posed and formal, relaxed, photojournalistic, creative, artistic, candid, traditional (or all of the above). You know those pictures you have that just aren’t you? They may be “pretty” or “cool”, but they just don’t resonate with you. The feedback we strive to receive is this, “Wow, that’s us. You somehow managed to catch us being ourselves!”

Do you shoot in color or black and white?

All of our images are captured in the highest resolution raw format. Raw image files are sometimes called digital negatives. The images we capture contain 65536 colors. We use our digital darkroom (a very powerful Mac) to perfect each image in both color and black and white.

How many photographers do you work with?

Two. Gina and I are a photographic team. This provides the opportunity to capture each moment from two distinct and unique vantage points. Gina is a fantastic photographer and has the ability to capture amazing moments.

Do you have photos of entire weddings that I can see?

Yes. Our portfolio website contains a number of complete weddings so that you can take a peak into how we capture the entire wedding day.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?

Softlight, candlelight, overcast, sunny, shade, rain, snow… equipped for any situation!

Is your media preference film or digital?

Digital. The ability to capture raw files with our cameras gives us the remarkable ability to perfect them in our digital darkroom.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

Yes. There are photographer studios out there that do not guarantee who will be shooting. We are our team!

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one wedding in a day?

There are times when we capture multiple weddings on a weekend. However, we never book more than one wedding per day. We give our all at a wedding. It is an enjoyably exhausting day!

Do you charge for travel?
