Would you believe it if we told you that we drove through a blizzard on Berthoud Pass to arrive at this gorgeous Grand Lake, Colorado wedding? White out conditions over the pass made for quite an interesting drive on the way to photograph Allyssa and Terry’s Summit County wedding. Rain had also caused the river to wash out the road leading to the house where Allyssa was getting ready. It was crazy! When all was said and done, though, the beautiful Colorado sun arrived just in time for the wedding ceremony and the dampness made for wonderfully rich colors for photography.
You may remember Allyssa and Terry from their Red Rocks Engagement Photography Session earlier this year. They are a playful and spontaneous couple who have tied the knot on June 12, 2010 (six days after our wedding). Their outdoor western-style wedding included hay bails for seating, lots of cowboy hats and boots, and guests who knew how to party at the reception. Their relaxed nature made for fantastic wedding photography portraits.
We especially enjoyed watching and photographing this boot-stomping reception!
