Alyssa and Andrew were married last weekend at Cherry Hills Community Church in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. It was a beautiful afternoon wedding followed by a reception at The Inverness Hotel. Aside from a very sick ring bearer and a burst of crazy rain, their wedding went off without a hitch. You can tell how grounded Alyssa and Andrew’s love is just by their pictures. There was no wedding day jitters for either of them…just joy about uniting their families and their lives. I so enjoy this kind of peaceful love. It doesn’t need to be loud or in your face, but is still so evident. In case you were wondering, let me clarify, they absolutely did do their fair share of smooching and cuddling throughout the day! lol Because the rain came exactly when we were heading outside to do their portraits, we had to be creative inside. They were up for anything and we ended up with some fun shots on a bench.

Alyssa is the kind of take charge bride that makes you smile. If she needed something to happen she hiked up her dress and took care of it, in bare feet of course! What I loved the most about Alyssa was how she wore her wedding gown. She didn’t let the possibility of it getting dirty to hinder her. If she needed to pick it up, she grabbed it in both hands. If we needed a shot, she was there with no question. She danced, sat comfortably, and just enjoyed her day in her wedding gown. Which is what a wedding is all about after all…celebrating your love! Congratulations Alyssa and Andrew (and Tristan) on your new lives together!
