Family Portraits are so much fun!
To be honest, I don’t do a lot of family portraits. However, each time I do a family portrait session, I remember just how fun it it. The coolest part about family portrait photography is getting to know each family. In my previous career as a counselor I always found it interesting to get to know families and how they respond/react to each other. As a photographer, I have the opportunity to experience those dynamics in a positive and exciting way. As a portrait photographer, I strive to achieve a comfort level with my clients that allows them to be relaxed and comfortable in front of my camera.
The Warnick Family was a blast to spend time with. The images capture this fun, spontaneous, and delightful family walking around LoDo. Joe and Paula have been married for over 15 years and their affection for each other is evident. Their children great to play with… even to the extent that I strapped my gear around my neck and climbed a rope jungle gym with them to take some crazy, weird, awesome shots. This family knows how to let loose and their pictures show it!
Thank you DJ Paula (her twitter name) for the great time with you and your family. (P.S. When are you going to let me take some pics of the newborn labs?)
