I (GinaB) don’t know how we’ve been so fortunate, but 0nce again, we had beautiful weather for an engagement photography session with Allyssa and Terry. Right smack dab in the middle of two cold, snowy weeks was a gorgeous weekend. We took full advantage of it! We were very happy to snag a few hours from Allyssa and Terry’s schedule packed with wedding preparations, moving, and renovating!
Allyssa and Terry’s engagement photography session began at Red Rocks Amphitheater with their adorable pups. Have I mentioned how much Jason and I LOVE when couples bring their furry friends along to photograph? It allows us to get a totally different perspective of the couple and it helps us better get to know who are couples are. These two are a kick together… silly, sweet, and adventurous (note her lack of footwear in the last image); a combination that made them feel at ease and their images turn out so fun.
We went from Red Rocks to the top of Lookout Mountain where we all climbed out on the rocks to get some amazing Colorado horizon shots. No pups this time, but Allyssa and Terry were obviously able to make the best of it!
We believe an engagement session is key to establishing a relationship with every bride and groom before their wedding day (which is why engagement photography is complimentary in our wedding collection). With an engagement photography session “under their belts” they are at ease on their wedding day knowing us as photographers, how we work, and the images we will produce. It also gives us a clear idea of the types of images they love, how they interact, and how to tailor our photography on their wedding day based on what we already know about them. Because, at the end of the day, our goal is to give our clients pictures they will love.

As a fun side-note, Allyssa and Terry’s wedding will be the first wedding Jason and I photograph as man and wife!
